Lightning delaysShelter, stadium instructions, and the all-clear

A delay can last longer than 30 minutes. WNDU’s report of Notre Dame’s 2025 storm guidance describes a pause for lightning within eight miles, with a 30-minute wait restarting after each strike in that radius. Today’s instructions from stadium officials take priority.

  • Follow stadium directions. Listen to the PA and videoboard. Ushers and public safety officers direct evacuations and shelter routes.
  • Wait for the official all-clear. Keep your ticket available and follow staff instructions for returning to your seat or re-entering.
  • Outside? Seek shelter at the first thunder. Use a substantial building or enclosed hard-topped vehicle. Never shelter under a tent or tree; wait at least 30 minutes after the last thunder.

Text UNDFANS to 226787 for ND Alert. Outdoor traditions and gate access may change during storms.

Sing alongAlma mater and Victory March
Postgame alma mater

Notre Dame, Our Mother

Notre Dame, our Mother,
Tender, strong and true,
Proudly in the heavens,
Gleams thy gold and blue.
Glory’s mantle cloaks thee,
Golden is thy fame,
And our hearts forever,
Praise thee, Notre Dame.
And our hearts forever,
Love thee, Notre Dame.

Stadium chorus

Notre Dame Victory March

Cheer, cheer for old Notre Dame,
Wake up the echoes cheering her name,
Send a volley cheer on high,
Shake down the thunder from the sky.
What though the odds be great or small?
Old Notre Dame will win over all,
While her loyal sons and daughters
March on to victory.

Stay after the game, face the student section, link arms, and sing the alma mater with the Notre Dame family. Read the tradition.
